I WANT TO PRINT MY LIST OF SALES. HOW DO I DO THAT?

Click 'save' next to the sales you wish to print. Then go to 'My Saved Garage Sales'. From there, if you scroll down your list, there is a print button that will connect to your computer's print function.

I WANT DIRECTIONS TO MY LIST OF SALES. HOW DO I DO THAT?

From your  'Saved Garage Sales' choose the sale date you want directions for and click 'Get Directions'. This will create a Google Map list of directions to follow. This works well on your cell phone, so check it out on your smart phone.

I WANT TO ADVERTISE MY GARAGE SALE IN THE GAZETTE NEWSPAPER AND PENNYSAVER. HOW DO I DO THAT?

That is good to hear and we can help you get to the right place. If you want to advertise your garage sale in The Gazette newspaper or the PennySaver you can use this form or call 319-398-8234 and a customer care representative will be happy to help.

USING THIS ONLINE TOOL, WHY ARE GARAGE SALE LISTINGS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY?

Good question. Typically garage sales occur on weekends so we feel at this point it is best to reflect that. The site is set up to be flexible and we can adapt if we see more garage sales happening at other times during the week.

I SEE A KEYWORD SEARCH FEATURE ON THE SITE, HOW DOES THAT WORK?

The keyword search is set up to pull information from the garage sale description. We encourage people to put relevant keywords that best describe the items they are selling in a garage sale so people can easily search for specific items if they so choose. Please note, at this time, search can only handle one search term at a time, and is exact match only, so a search for "Tools" will only show listings with that exact use of the word. Try searching multiple times if no results show the first time.

I SUBMITTED AND PAID TO LIST MY GARAGE SALE ON THE SITE BUT I DON’T SEE IT LISTED?

If for some reason you don’t see your garage sale listed after submitted and paying to have it be there that means something likely went wrong or it hasn't had time to make it thru our system. Send us a quick email at marketplaces@thegazette.com and we will work very quickly to find out why and fix it.
